1. Overview
Pocket Aptitude is an aptitude-learning application that provides theory, solved examples, practice questions, quizzes, tests, bookmarks, mistakes review and progress tracking.
The app does not require an account or login. Core learning content and user progress are stored locally on the device and are intended to remain usable offline.
2. Information stored locally on your device
Pocket Aptitude may store the following information locally on your device:
- learning progress and completed topics;
- practice attempts, scores and test results;
- bookmarks and saved items;
- mistakes or questions marked for later review;
- app preferences such as theme, text size, difficulty preference, sound/haptic settings and similar local settings.
This information is used to provide the app's learning and progress features. Pocket Aptitude does not operate a user-account server or upload this learning history to a Pocket Aptitude backend.
3. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
Pocket Aptitude uses Google AdMob / the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements when the device is online. The app also uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to support consent and privacy choices where required.
According to Google's documentation, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share data such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- user product interactions, such as app launches, taps and video views;
- diagnostic and performance information;
- device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID or app set ID where applicable.
This information may be processed by Google for purposes including advertising, analytics, ad measurement, service delivery, security and fraud prevention. Data handled by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is transmitted using encryption in transit as described by Google.
4. Consent and privacy choices
Where required by applicable law or Google advertising requirements, Pocket Aptitude may show a consent or privacy message before requesting personalized advertising.
Depending on your region and the options available, you may be able to consent, decline consent, manage advertising choices, or later change privacy choices through the app's privacy options.
You may also control or reset advertising identifiers through your Android device or Google account settings, where available.
5. Internet and network permissions
The app requests internet and network-state access so that advertising and privacy/consent messaging can work when the device is online. The aptitude-learning database, progress, bookmarks and similar learning features are designed to remain available without an internet connection.
6. Data sharing
Pocket Aptitude does not sell your locally stored learning progress.
Advertising-related information may be processed or shared with Google and its advertising partners as part of Google AdMob, subject to your consent choices, applicable law, and Google's own policies.
7. Data retention and deletion
Learning progress and settings stored by Pocket Aptitude remain on the device until they are reset within the app, cleared through Android app settings, or removed when the app is uninstalled.
Because Pocket Aptitude does not require a user account and does not maintain a Pocket Aptitude cloud account database, there is no separate Pocket Aptitude online account to delete.
Data processed by Google or other advertising partners is governed by their respective privacy and retention practices.
8. Security
Core learning data is stored locally on the device. Network communications used by integrated Google advertising services are expected to use secure transport such as HTTPS/TLS. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children
Pocket Aptitude is a general aptitude and competitive-exam learning app and is not designed specifically for children under 13. If the app's target audience or features change in the future, this policy and the relevant Google Play declarations will be updated as needed.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app, advertising configuration, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
